Bull’s Eye is fundamentally a red variety of Tiger’s Eye, and its silky lustre and chatoyancy is achieved due to Quartz being permeated by parallel fibres of amphibole. It is quite rare in nature and found in a few places on Earth, so most Bull's Eye crystal specimens are a result of heat-treating Tiger’s Eye.
