GEOLOGY
Eagle's Eye is a combination of Tiger's Eye and Hawk's Eye, both of which are a variety of Chalcedony and Quartz. Discovered in 1962 in Namibia, it is often referred to as Pietersite, named after its founder.
Amphibole minerals are responsible for the specific blue/grey chatoyancy of Eagle's Eye.
