GEOLOGY
Falcon's Eye is fundamentally a blue variety of Tiger's Eye, and its silky lustre and chatoyancy is achieved due to Quartz being permeated by parallel fibres of grey-blue to deep blue Crocidolite Asbestos. It grows in thick veins in Brown Quartzite. It usually occurs in sediments where Tiger's Eye is present.
Mainly found in Doorn Mountains, in South Africa.
